ASK WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND

I'm heading to New York for work. Anything I should know?
Sunday

If dinner is already in the plan, your Gold Card's Resy credit may be worth a look.

A small thing to remember

Dinner, with a little more value.

Your U.S. Consumer American Express Gold Card has a dining credit for eligible purchases at qualifying U.S. Resy restaurants. Your sample activity suggests there may be room left this half-year.

Rule checked Oct 5, 2026: up to $50 in statement credits each half-year; enrollment required. Official Gold benefit ↗

A local demo only. No booking or account action.

I can help you remember to check before dinner. Restaurant availability and credit eligibility would need to be verified.

Independent illustrative concept. No live account connected.

The opportunity

The best benefit is the one you remember to use.

Membership value can be scattered across statements, terms, emails and plans. Keeping track becomes another task for the member.

Our concept brings a dated explanation into the moment of intent. It asks less of memory and gives the member more room to decide.

A more human flow

From “I wonder” to “I know.”

01

Ask like a person.

Begin with a real plan or question, not a hunt through a list of benefits.

02

See the reasoning.

Get the exact card or shared account, the dated evidence, the applicable rule and what remains unknown.

03

Stay in control.

Choose a small next step. The prototype's trip-plan check changes only this local page.

Optional inspiration

A little inspiration. On your terms.

A destination story can live alongside useful membership advice, if the member chooses to see it. This Barbados postcard is a proposed campaign format, not a live offer or partner placement.

The system behind the moment

Thoughtful on the surface.
Precise underneath.

A proposed product architecture, subject to source access, rules review and member consent.

  1. 01

    Chosen evidence

Member-selected email or manual entries with dates and provenance. Some emails may only link to an account.

  2. 02

    One account map

Deduplicate cards sharing one Membership Rewards account before showing a balance.

  3. 03

    Rule & tier check

Separate enrollment, qualifying purchases, posted credits, reversals and the applicable time window.

  4. 04

    Explained suggestion

Show the evidence, confidence and unknowns in context.

  5. 05

    Owner's choice

Ask before any future connected action. Keep an inspectable record.

This browser prototype uses scripted examples. It has no agent-platform card integration, live Amex connection, inbox access, external permissions or transaction capability. Any future integration would require separate technical and legal validation.

A possible business model

A useful experience first. A thoughtful model next.

An American Express paid pilot is our first buyer hypothesis, not a sign of actual buyer interest. Later commerce is a separate possibility. No agreement or economics are established.

01

Issuer pilot, then a module

Explore a paid pilot for a concierge surface that explains eligible membership value at relevant moments.

02

Consented sponsored placements

A proposed campaign fee or publisher-distribution agreement for clearly labeled inspiration. Members can preview or hide it; sponsor spend does not change organic benefit advice.

03

Eligible booking referrals

Potential Expedia hotel or activity and Viator experience referrals only for eligible completed bookings under approved agreements. Booking-channel compatibility must be checked: a benefit requiring Amex Travel cannot be assumed to apply through another affiliate link. No flight or award commission is assumed.

A pilot to test the right things

Start small.
Learn what earns trust.

We would propose a small opt-in scope, then agree the data boundary, experience and success measures together. Every outcome below is a hypothesis to test.

01 / DEFINE

Consent before capability.

Set minimum evidence, approved sources, member controls, stale-data behavior and a narrow use case.

02 / SHOW

Test the explanation.

Prototype the concierge card; study whether people understand eligibility, evidence and the next step.

03 / DECIDE

Make a measured call.

Assess comprehension, correct eligibility, stale-data detection, voluntary benefit use and trust before a go/no-go decision.

How we would evaluate the pilot

Understanding

Compare whether opt-in participants can explain eligibility, evidence date and next step after a card versus a static benefits summary.

Accuracy & freshness

Independently review eligibility decisions and deliberately stale examples. Count incorrect claims, missed unknowns and successful corrections.

Use & trust

Measure voluntary follow-through, member-reported usefulness and trust, correction requests and opt-outs. A posted credit needs separate evidence.

These are measurement proposals, not validated outcomes. Agree scope, sample, baseline, thresholds and retention before recruiting anyone.

Local brief only. No message is sent and no contact information is collected.

The open questions

Clear about what comes next.

The experience is a conversation starter. The integration and economics need their own evidence.

CapabilityCurrent basis
Dated email or manual evidenceFeasible concept input; an email might only contain a login link
Membership Rewards balanceSynthetic in demo; direct tracking does not establish a benefit-credit API
United or Delta pointsDirect tracking reported unavailable by AwardWallet; do not promise coverage
Bank and card dataPlaid is not a documented loyalty or benefit-credit feed here
Fares and award searchSeparate licensed data and commercial terms needed
Questions for a product conversation

Authoritative benefit state: who can provide versioned terms, exact account variants, enrollment, posted credits and reversals?

Member control: which evidence is necessary, how can a member correct or delete it, and what actions require a fresh confirmation?

Distribution: which agent host can render and securely operate the card? What licensed data, cache rules and commercial permissions apply?

Pilot ownership: which issuer team sponsors the study, reviews claims and decides whether the evidence supports a next phase?

Sources, dates & demo assumptions

Public rule used in the illustration

American Express, U.S. Consumer Gold benefits, reviewed October 5, 2026. The Resy example is limited to up to $50 in statement credits January–June and up to $50 July–December on eligible purchases at qualifying U.S. Resy restaurants. Enrollment required. Terms and eligibility control.

Synthetic, dated demonstration data

Alex Morgan, Basic Card Member; MR-DEMO-01 = 84,250 points as of September 28, 2026, shared across physical cards on that account. A sample enrollment confirmation is dated September 28. Synthetic July–December credits posted through that date total $30, making $20 a possible remaining amount at that point, subject to later activity and eligibility. These are illustrative records, not live balances or current enrollment proof. No lounge access, points cash value or redemption availability is asserted.

Email first, with an explicit evidence boundary

An Amex statement may contain a rewards balance; a notification email may only link to the account. AwardWallet’s email API returns only supported fields present in the message. Commercial access, typical two-week email retention and possible human review need explicit evaluation and consent. No inbox or message is connected here.

Amex’s Membership Rewards FAQ supports the single-account treatment. AwardWallet’s airline guide reports United and Delta direct-tracking restrictions, with email/manual alternatives. Its account API does not establish an Amex benefit-credit feed. Plaid’s account schema is not a documented loyalty-benefit source.

Fares and awards are a later, licensed module

Google’s flight docs describe partner supply, not a verified public fare-search API. Seats.aero imposes commercial, consent, attribution and cache constraints; award inventory is separate from a member’s wallet. Duffel requires permission for metasearch. Skyscanner requires approved use. No live quotes, broad carrier coverage or provider agreement is claimed.

Sponsored commerce has separate conditions

Expedia’s commission terms and Viator’s partner resources concern qualifying completed bookings. They do not establish Love Sunday’s eligibility or agent-distribution rights. Rates, attribution, cancellations and channel approval would need an actual agreement. Amex Travel credit guidance makes the booking channel material: another channel’s referral cannot automatically carry an Amex Travel-only benefit. No flight or award commission is assumed.

The proposed placement would follow clear sponsorship disclosure. Sponsors would receive agreed aggregate reporting, not member inboxes or balances. Separate sharing would require separate consent. Travel + Leisure, Barbados tourism organizations, American Express and booking providers are illustrative prospective participants only.

Research reviewed October 5, 2026. Recheck current provider terms before implementation. Prototype preparation date: October 5, 2026. This is an independent Love Sunday proposal; American Express and other named businesses have not endorsed it.
